Another Notch Under My Belt

Today I was talking to my homegirl and she suggested that since I have a lifestyle blog I should blog more about my life, what I've been working on, and doing. With that being said I decided to write about me surfing because that was one of the things I have always wanted to do and last year for my bday my boo made it possible. This pic is taken by the company I got the lessons from. This is actually my first time standing on the board. I'm that ISH !!! lol because on my first time after practicing on land I got it right and I didn't even fall (please notice the dry hair thanks in my pj voice). Anyway it was one of the most liberating experiences of my life. I had so much fun. I am an expert swimmer I swam competitively from age 5 -18 and I loved every minute of it. Actually think I might start swimming again it is great exercise. The instructor was very nice and I had a blast. I recommend going surfing to anyone that loves the water. I will be doing it again. So cheers to one notch off my bucket list, I hope you guys are scratching things off you always wanted to do. Live, Laugh, Love.

Dominican-born beauty, Dania Ramirez, has just signed on as the newest CoverGirl spokesmodel and will be prominently featured in print and television ads starting in January, 2010. Acknowledging the adversity she has had to overcome and how special this new gig is for her, the Heroes hottie told people.com, “I’m bringing my story, a story of struggle and hard work. Not speaking the language [when I got to America] and trying to figure out my definition of beauty, you learn to recognize the beauty in all of us. It takes a strong person to get where I’ve got.” Now that Dania is part of the CoverGirl family, she said that she feels like the deal had "Been in the works my whole life. I’ve always dreamed of being a CoverGirl.”

I think she is gorgeous. She is the third Latina to become a Cover Girl. I would like to see her in more films. Is she still engaged to the director guy? I love my fellow Latina's keep shining and setting standards.

Narciso Rodriguez arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards last night with Claire Danes on his arm, modeling a gorgeous form-fitting creation he designed just for her. Although the dress she wore last night was black, Rodriguez will soon be tasked with designing the dress for Danes' white wedding. Danes, 29, and British actor Hugh Dancy, 33, met while filming Evening and dated for more than a year before becoming engaged in February. Although it is unsure when the duo plan on tying the knot, Claire is 100 percent certain about the fact that Rodriguez is going to be successful in creating her dream dress. When People.com inquired about the process, the actress said, "I get weepy ... more emotional than I was expecting. It’s intimate." And when asked about the challenge of working with Rodriguez due to their close relationship, Danes rebuffed the notion, saying, "It’s amazing. I’m so privileged. I’m collaborating a little bit, but I’m just trusting him implicitly. I’m offing my ideas, but they always pale in comparison to his." Sounds like Claire is going to sit back and allow Rodriguez to work his magic. As for taking on the task of dressing his friend on the most important day of her life, Rodriguez is unfazed. “She’s an extraordinary woman, inside and out. That always comes through. You can’t hide it. I just try to make her look more beautiful,” he said of designing for Danes. “And it’s not hard to make her look beautiful.”

I love being Latino we are doing big things, and sometimes do not get the recognition. Things are about to change for the good. I know that dress is going to be a killer (If they make it to the aisle). No disrespect Claire I think you are beautiful but this Hollywood dating scene is wack :o/

Add some color to your outfit w/o adding color to your outfit lol.Now everyone that knows me knows that I love some color, but when I feel like a neutral color I always add a splash of color some where else. Bag, shoes,earings etc....Work it!! I guess it"s the LATINA in me ! lol
